Getting out more? research into practice

Published by Juliet Eve | Filed under Announcements, Research

umbrella20071.jpgJuliet Eve and Noeleen Schenk facilitated an interactive session on Day 3 of Umbrella 2007, based on their Interactions research project carried out last year. We had a very positive and lively debate about the ways research can be integrated into practice, and how practitioners can be enabled to access, engage with, carry out and publish research and research findings. The session was one of the Library and Information Research Group’s contributions to the conference. LIRG’s other sessions included ‘Emerging Research Strategies’, which reported on the Looking Back to the Future workshop, held at the British Library in November 2006 (reports from which have just been published in a special (and first open access, online) edition of Library and Information Research).
