A recent graduate from our MA Information Studies course, Abigail Luthmann (pictured), is one of the contributors to the most recent issue of Library Review, a special issue (Vol. 56, Issue 9, 2007) featuring Voices of the new library professionals. Her article, entitled Librarians, professionalism and image: stereotype and reality, can be accessed via the CILIP website by CILIP members until the end of November 2007.

After completing the course, Abigail took up a position as a Graduate Trainee with West Sussex Libraries, and has since gone on to become an Assistant Librarian within the service. She is based at Shoreham-by-Sea library, for which she has developed a Flickr tour. Abigail was also one of the fourcommended librarians in this year’s Top Ten Librarians Awards.
