Franz Inc., a pioneer in artificial intelligence and leading supplier of knowledge graph technology, has announced the release of Gruff 9, the latest version of its advanced knowledge graph visualization tool. Gruff 9 introduces several key new capabilities, including large language model (LLM) integration and support for the emerging RDF* standard.
One of the most notable updates in Gruff 9 is the ability to embed natural language queries from large language models directly into SPARQL queries. Users can now leverage the power of LLMs like ChatGPT to generate queries and then visualize the results in Gruff’s interactive graph displays. This natural language interface makes it easier for a wide range of users to explore knowledge graphs.
Gruff 9 also provides unique visualization capabilities for RDF* (RDFStar), a new W3C standard for knowledge graphs that improves on existing approaches. RDF* allows for full hypergraph structures, going beyond simple labeled property graphs. Gruff 9 is the first visualization tool to support the advanced features of RDF*.
“The ability to visualize data has become essential to every organization,” said Dr. Jans Aasman, CEO of Franz Inc. “Gruff’s dynamic graphs enable users across disciplines to gain insights from knowledge graphs.”
Gruff 9 is included with AllegroGraph Cloud, Franz’s hosted knowledge graph database platform. Combined with AllegroGraph’s advanced neuro-symbolic AI capabilities like reasoning and vector search, Gruff provides both visualization and a robust back-end for next-generation AI applications.
Franz recently released AllegroGraph 8, which integrates large language models like ChatGPT directly into the knowledge graph. This allows AllegroGraph to guide the LLM, grounding its responses in factual knowledge to avoid hallucinations. AllegroGraph 8 also adds natural language query and reasoning functions using Franz’s LLMagic technology.
“Leading analyst firms recognize the power of combining knowledge graphs and LLMs,” said Dr. Aasman. “Gruff’s visualizations take that synergy to another level, harnessing AI to uncover connections in complex data.”
Gruff enables dynamic visualization of AllegroGraph’s knowledge graphs, rules, and vector spaces. Its no-code interface allows users to explore connections between entities, pinpoint areas of interest, and generate custom views. Gruff 9 advances visualization and exploration capabilities even further with LLM and RDF* support.
The combination of AllegroGraph 8 and Gruff 9 provides a complete solution for building explainable and trustworthy AI applications with integrated access to all the latest AI innovations like LLMs and knowledge graphs. Organizations across industries can now take advantage of these technologies through Franz’s leading graph database and visualization platforms.
