Vendasta has announced the general availability of Conversations AI, an AI customer acquisition and engagement platform. The new product is an AI-powered receptionist that enables small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to manage phone calls, chats, SMS, and WhatsApp messages from a single location. The system operates 24/7 to answer questions, book appointments, and qualify leads.
Conversations AI combines AI voice capabilities with various messaging platforms into a unified inbox. The system uses each business’s specific data to provide responses. It is designed to engage new inquiries in seconds across multiple languages. The platform can also use APIs for tasks such as checking inventory or retrieving an order’s status in real time.
All interactions are centralised in an inbox that can include communications from phone, SMS, WhatsApp, web, Facebook, Instagram, and email. Contact details and message history are automatically stored in Vendasta’s CRM. According to Rylan Morris, VP of Product Marketing at Vendasta, the tool is designed to turn “every missed call or chat into a potential sale”.
Early adopters have reported improvements. Live 360 Marketing stated it reduced lead response times from up to 48 hours to under 30 seconds and achieved a 70 percent ROI increase. Another user, Next Level Management and Consulting, reported that after implementing the system for a retail client, the client’s call volume dropped significantly as the chatbot handled complex inquiries.
